Cedar Rapids, Iowa – The annual Freedom Ride was organized by the non-profit Chains Interrupted.

The event was held on Saturday, July 24.

The ride raises money for the nonprofit and raises awareness and educates people about human trafficking. The event was held for the third time by the group. The ride began in Cedar Rapids and stopped at Prairieburg, Manchester and Troy Mills along the way.

”Really just to wait raise awareness so the people understand that trafficking happens everywhere. And the small towns are super susceptible to having trafficking issues because they are so trusting and quiet sometimes, they’re almost easier targets,” a board member, Tish Young said.
