Iowa reports 461 new COVID-19 cases, almost 200 more recoveries, four additional deaths

Four additional COVID-19 deaths were reported for Iowa from 10 a.m. Wednesday to 10 a.m. Thursday, according to the state’s dashboard. This brings the state’s death toll to 694.

There were 461 new, confirmed cases reported Wednesday which brings the state’s total number of cases to 27,062. There were also 199 more recoveries reported for a total of 16,926.

There were 13 patients hospitalized in Iowa in the last 24 hours from 10 a.m. Wednesday, compared to 21 yesterday. The total number of hospitalizations is 137, which is 3 less than yesterday. Of those hospitalizations, 42 are in the ICU and 26 are on ventilators.

In Iowa, 7,007 new tests were given for a total of more than 275,442 people that have been tested for COVID-19.
