53 workers laid off at Kinze Manufacturing in Williamsburg

Williamsburg, Iowa – 53 workers will be let go from Kinze Manufacturing, Inc.’s Williamsburg facility, the business announced Wednesday.
The business mentioned persistent economic difficulties in the agriculture industry in the statement.
53 of its 550 employees in Williamsburg are affected by the January layoffs, which follow the approximately 200 layoffs that occurred there in August 2024.
Susanne Veatch, President of Kinze, stated, “This was an extremely difficult decision, and Kinze has a fantastic workforce.” “Unfortunately, this workforce adjustment was required due to the ongoing decline in the agricultural market.”
Kinze is a multinational producer of high-speed tillage equipment, planters, and grain carts.
