Suspect at large after two homes hit by gunfire in Cedar Rapids
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The Cedar Rapids Police Department says they responded to a shots fired incident in the area between the 600 and 800 blocks of 15th Street SE, on Friday, April 9 at 10:12 a.m.
Officers were able to locate two homes that were hit by gunfire and also found several shell casings.
CRPD says a witness told them a suspect left the scene on foot. That suspect has not been located and is still at large.
McKinley Middle School was secured during the incident as a safety precaution.
There were no injuries reported and an investigation is ongoing.
