Iowa reports more than 600,000 people vaccinated against COVID-19
Iowa health officials are reporting 1,459,906 total COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered to state residents.
As of Thursday morning, the COVID-19 vaccine dashboard is showing 601,202 people have been fully vaccinated against the virus.
State data shows 561,546 of those completed vaccine series were from the second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. While 39,656 people have completed their single-dose vaccination with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

The state’s dashboard shows there were 809 new, confirmed cases from 10 a.m. Wednesday to 10 a.m. Thursday, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 351,650.
The state’s website says of the people who have tested positive, 333,514 have recovered. This is 544 more recoveries than what the state reported yesterday.
Fourteen additional virus-related deaths have been reported in Iowa, bringing its death toll to 5,743.
Subtracting the number of recoveries (333,514) and the number of deaths (5,743) from the total number of cases (351,650) shows there are currently 12,142 active positive cases in the state.
There are currently 191 virus-related hospitalizations in Iowa, which is up from the 186 reported yesterday. Of those hospitalizations, 45 are in the ICU and 11 are on ventilators.
In Iowa, there were 3,651 new test results reported in the last 24 hours, and a total of 1,641,019 people have been tested for COVID-19.
