Kirkwood Community College holding free vaccine clinic May 12-14
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Kirkwood Community College will be holding a second free COVID-19 vaccination clinic on May 12 – 14.
The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine will be available for the following groups:
- Those previously registered for their second shot following April 21 – 23 Kirkwood clinic
- Members of the general public needing a second shot of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine
- Members of the general public who have not yet been vaccinated for COVID-19 (must find second Pfizer dose from another source at least 21 days after first dose)
Those receiving shots must be of authorized age by the CDC and have a valid form of ID.
Anyone receiving a second round of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is asked to please bring their vaccination card to the clinic.
Here are the details:
- Wednesday, May 12, from 1 – 4 p.m.
- Thursday, May 13, from 8 a.m. – noon; 1 – 4 p.m.; 5 – 8 p.m.
- Friday, May 14, from 8 a.m. – noon; 1 – 4 p.m.
Michael J Gould Recreation Center at Kirkwood Community College’s Main Campus in Cedar Rapids.
No appointment necessary for walk-ins. Previously scheduled appointments are asked to arrive when scheduled.
Clinic partners Linn County Public Health and MercyCare Community Physicians will be on hand to assist with the event.
The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 two-dose vaccination has been shown to be safe and 95 percent effective in preventing infection from the virus.
