Three people injured after Creston apartment building explosion
Creston, Iowa – Three individuals were injured in an explosion which resulted with a fire at Creston apartment complex Friday morning, according to fire officials.
The explosion was reported at 9 a.m. According to the Creston Fire Department, two of the three wounded people were taken to local hospitals.
It is believed that a person smoking while operating a medical oxygen tank is the cause of the explosion.
Residents escaped the fire through exits and windows with assistance of the fire crews.
