US average gas price rises to $3.13 per gallon
Over the past three weeks the average U.S. price of regular-grade gasoline rose two cents to $3.13 per gallon.
According to Trilby Lundberg of the Lundberg Survey, crude oil costs climbed higher during the same period but were not passed on to gasoline customers.
She attributes this to customer resistance to high prices and a slower ramp-up in demand this spring than in previous years.
According to a survey, the gas price was 95 cents higher at the pump in June 11 than it was last year.
According to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 2,036 stations in Iowa, gas prices have fallen 0.4 cents per gallon in the past week.
The average gas price today is $2.86 per gallon in Iowa.
