Woman dies after fiery crash in Des Moines
Des Moines, Iowa – Law enforcement are investigating the case where a young woman lost her life after crashing in a fiery wreck on Sunday morning.
The accident occured near the intersection of Indianola Avenue and Watrous Avenue in Des Moines about 4:45 a.m. on Sunday. The vehicle was already engulfed in flames when first responders arrived.
Inside the burning wreckage, a 25-year-old female was discovered dead. There was no one else in the vehicle.
According to preliminary information obtained from witnesses, the woman was speeding when she lost control, crashed in a signal pole, and ended up in a yard when the car caught fire.
Witnesses believe the victim was driving away from a minor hit-and-run crash.
