Hy-Vee to host free vaccine clinic on September 4 in collaboration with Iowa State University
Des Moines, Iowa – Hy-Vee, Inc. announced today that it will organize a COVID-19 and flu vaccination clinic in collaboration with Iowa State University before the Cyclones’ season opener against the University of Northern Iowa Panthers on Saturday, September 4 at Jack Trice Stadium.
From 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., a walk-in vaccination clinic will be available. It is not essential to make an appointment to receive any vaccine.
Team members from Hy-Vee Pharmacy will be on hand at the Hy-Vee Healthy You Mobile, which will be located on the south side of Stephens Auditorium (off of Center Drive). After receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, each recipient must remain in the observation area for 15 minutes.
Depending on the recipient’s age, they will receive a Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine, a Moderna vaccine, or a PfizerBioNTech vaccine.
For moderately to severely immunosuppressed people who are eligible for a third dosage from either Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna, free COVID-19 vaccines will be provided.
