Cass County authorities need help in locating missing man
Iowa – Authorities in Cass County, Iowa, are urgently requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing man following a reported kidnapping that has prompted an extensive investigation. The search was initiated after the man failed to return home, according to KCCI’s Nicole Tam.

In a worrisome turn of events, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office is currently piecing together the circumstances of an alarming kidnapping involving two male victims. Details emerged that the incident commenced shortly after 5 p.m. on Saturday.
The sequence of events began in Lincoln, Nebraska, where the first victim reported being abducted. The assailant, brandishing a firearm, forced the victim to drive towards Chicago. However, upon reaching Cass County on Interstate 80, the situation escalated when the armed suspect commandeered a second vehicle—a Silver Chevy truck—taking another individual hostage. This second victim is described as an “older white man with a beard.”
The kidnapper is believed to be a black male
The kidnapper has been characterized as a black male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing around 160 pounds, and is believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s. He is noted for his well-kept hair and a short beard.

Currently, the whereabouts of the Silver Chevy truck and the direction of the two men remain unknown, with no clear indication if they are still en route to Chicago.
