Iowa City Police investigating shots fired incident
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Around 9:30 Monday night, Iowa city police received several reports of shots fired near Mormon Trek Boulevard and Walden Road.
Upon arrival, police indicate that one unoccupied vehicle parked in the area of Clearwater Court and Bittersweet Court was damaged by gunfire.
Officials then recovered several shell casings from a handgun nearby.
Police have not received any reports of injuries caused by the gunfire, and there is no suspect information at this time.
This incident is being actively investigated by the Iowa City Police Department and they are asking the public for assistance.
