Fundraising for Camp Courageous through a Cookie BBQ

Cedar Rapids, Iowa – As a result of some barbeque meals in Monticello, Camp Courageous is having the opportunity to earn some additional funds.

Camp Courageous has been the recipient of donations from Cookies Food Products, the company that produces Cookies BBQ Sauce, for the tenth year in a row. Cookies will begin selling food in the parking lot of the Monticello Fareway beginning on Tuesday and continuing through Friday.
A portion of the proceeds from these sales will be donated to a camp that provides assistance to children who have impairments.

According to Speed Herrig, the President of Cookies Food Products, “I never worry where the money goes because I know it gets put to good use.”

The fact that it does not need to be filtered via a great number of different places is a very wonderful aspect about it. Charlie seizes the money and distributes it to the various locations in the camp where it is required.

According to Herrig, the three days of selling barbecue typically bring in about $4,000 at the end of the year.
