54 people will be laid off by Toyota Financial Services in Cedar Rapids
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – At the end of the following year, 54 workers of Toyota Financial Services in Cedar Rapids would be let go.
According to the Iowa WARN listing, the 54 workers will be let go on December 31, 2024.
The layoff date is actually December 31, 2025, according to a corporate communications manager with Toyota Financial Services, and they are contacting you to get the WARN listing updated.
Every employee from Cedar Rapids who wanted to stay with the company was assigned to a position in Arizona, Texas, or Georgia, the corporate spokesman added.
Hundreds of employment were impacted when the corporation announced in 2021 that it would be closing its Cedar Rapids office.
In October, it was reported that Xavier Catholic Schools would purchase the Toyota Financial Services facility on N River Blvd. and turn it into a new middle school.
