Police searching for inmate who walked away from Des Moines facility
DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa Department of Corrections said a work release inmate walked away from the Fort Des Moines Residential Facility without permission Sunday afternoon and has not returned.
Christopher Corey-Lance Hanson, 27, was convicted of second-degree burglary and other crimes in Polk County. Corrections officials said Hanson is 6 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs 388 pounds. He was admitted to the work release facility on Aug. 28, 2020.
Anyone with information should contact local police.
