Joey Gase returns to Cedar Rapids with a goal to inspire all to donate life
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Cedar Rapids native and NASCAR driver Joey Gase in cooperation with Iowa Donor Network wants to encourage organ donations at the Big 8 Late Model Series race in his hometown.
His car will have a photo of John VanderLinden of Indianola on it. John is the man who passed away and saved five lives as an organ donor in 2012.
Gase has been a supporter of organ and tissue donation since he was 18-years-old when his mother died of brain aneurysm and became a donor. He is encouraging people to submit a Message of Hope to be displayed on his racing vehicle for the June 12 in order to inspire all to donate life.
