30-year-old man gets 140 years in prison for sexually abusing two girls
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – A jury convicted a Cedar Rapids man guilty of sexual exploitation of two young girls, as well as other child pornography violations, and sentenced him to 140 years in prison.
Nate Nosley, 30, was found guilty on June 9, 2021, of sexual exploitation of minors, distribution of child pornography, receipt of child pornography, three counts of possessing child pornography, and accessing child pornography by a jury in Los Angeles, California.
During the trial, evidence indicated that Nosley encouraged two females to email him pornographic pictures of themselves between 2018 and 2020, according to court documents. Furthermore, Nosely was said to have owned and shared child pornography with other individuals as well. According to the evidence presented during the trial, Nosley had previously sexually molested a seven-year-old girl.
“This case is a tragic example of the dangers children face on the internet.” United States Attorney Sean Berry said in a news release. “Child predators are constantly trying to manipulate kids into having sex or providing sexually explicit photos. We all must do our parts to prevent these crimes. Parents and loved ones should talk to kids about the dangers lurking on the internet and monitor what kids are doing online.”
A total of 1,680 months in prison and a five-year period of supervised release were imposed on Nosley. In addition, he was sentenced to provide restitution to four victims in the amount of $12,000. In addition, he must comply with all applicable sex offender registration and public notification requirements.
