Investigation launched into the Cedar Rapids shooting incident that wounded one
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – A report of shots fired in the 1100 block of K Street SW at 12:45 a.m. on Saturday prompted the Cedar Rapids Police Department to launch an investigation into the incident.
Officers discovered an individual who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and transported him to a nearby hospital. Officers also found damage to a car and a house that they think was caused by the incident.
At this time, there have been no arrests or charges filed. It is believed that this is a targeted event with no danger to the general public.
An investigation is underway.
