Authorities identify the guy who died in an accident on East Post Road on Friday night

Marion, Iowa – The man who was killed in a collision in Marion late last night has a name now. Marion resident Demontrae Poole, 26, was pronounced deceased at the site of the collision, according to officials. Images of the area around the intersection of East Post Road and Hickory Wind Lane may be seen in the video up top.

Last night, after 11:30 p.m., there was a crash. According to the police, the driver lost control and struck a power pole. This caused the car to fly, strike a detached garage, and finally crash in a yard.

A woman from Cedar Rapids who was the second occupant was sent to a nearby hospital due to potentially fatal injuries.

Investigations into the disaster are still ongoing.

Following an accident on East Post Road late on Friday night, one person is dead and another is critically injured.

It was Friday night, shortly after 11:30, at the crossroads of Hickory Wind Lane and East Post Road.

Authorities say that when the driver lost control of the car, it was heading north on East Post Road, which is located south of Hickory Wind Lane.

Before coming to a rest in a yard, the car crashed into a detached garage, a power pole, and the sky.

At the scene, one of the car’s occupants was declared deceased. Another suffered potentially fatal injuries and was brought to a nearby hospital.

At this time, the victims’ names are not being disclosed. An investigation is presently underway into the accident.
