CRPD looking for hit-and-run driver after SUV hits motorcyclist on SW side
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Cedar Rapids police are asking for help in finding the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash last weekend that sent a 63-year-old motorcyclist to the hospital with several broken bones.
CRPD responded to the scene at the intersection of 2nd Avenue and 7th Street SW just after 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 4. Witnesses say a red SUV – now believed to be a newer-model Chevy Traverse – ran into the back of a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by Andrew Sorenson and then left the scene.
