Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Mike Gannon has been appointed President and CEO of CRST, a trucking company based in Cedar Rapids, the company announced on Monday.

Gannon remarked, “Leading Team CRST is an honor for me.” “Our core values of safety, integrity, and a commitment to the success of every employee, customer, and community in which we operate serve as the foundation for every decision we make and every mile we travel.”
Gannon was Chief Operating Officer (COO) before starting his career with CRST in 1983.

Owner and Chairman of the CRST Board of Directors John Smith stated, “The CRST Board is pleased to have Mike take on this role as the culmination of his tenured career with CRST.”

Gannon graduated with an MBA from The University of Iowa and a bachelor’s degree in transportation logistics from Iowa State University.

Hugh Ekberg, who joined CRST in 2016 and was named President and CEO in 2018, informed the organization’s board of directors last week that he was retiring.
