Drinking water advisory lifted in Cedar Rapids
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – The precautionary drinking water advisory for all previously affected customers in Northeast Cedar Rapids has been lifted.
The tests showed that the water is safe for consumption, according to city officials.
Disruption to normal distribution operations was caused by a nearby water main break, creating a potential for bacteria contamination to occur.
Residents are recommended to flush their house’s plumbing by running faucets on cold for up to five minutes.
