Fire damages home on SE side of Cedar Rapids
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Firefighters put out a fire at a home in southeast Cedar Rapids Tuesday afternoon.
Cedar Rapids Fire Department says no one was home when a neighbor noticed smoking coming from a home at 609 18th Street SE.
When CRFD firefighters got to the scene, flames were shooting from the roof.
The fire department says they quickly knocked down the fire. While no one was home at the time, at least one person has been displaced.
No one was hurt but the fire is still under investigation.
