Garage fire in Cedar Rapids extinguished, cause of fire under investigation

Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Cedar Rapids fire crews were battling a garage fire on Tuesday.
A report of a garage engulfed in flames at 928 16th Avenue southwest came around 8:46 p.m. on Tuesday. Firefighters from the Cedar Rapids Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire in the small garage upon arrival.
The fire caused minor damage to two nearby garages also. No one was at home during the fire.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
