Des Moines, Iowa – The governor of Iowa, Reynolds, stated that her staff is compiling a list of potential lieutenant governors.

Adam Gregg, the previous lieutenant governor, resigned from office last month.
Gregg has accepted a position that will enable him to increase his family time.

The governor is responsible for selecting a new lieutenant governor in accordance with the Iowa code.

Reynolds made her expectations for a successor known in an announcement, along with their objectives, interests, and aspirations.

Ask the questions, discuss priorities, what they believe it looks like, and what some of their objectives and top priorities are for advancing the state. Which areas are they eager to work on? What fervors do they harbor? What role does that play in the tasks we are completing? stated Reynolds.

Reynolds has not provided a certain date on which she plans to select the next Lieutenant Governor.

It will probably happen after the election, she says.
