Hy-Vee starts COVID-19 rapid antibody testing this week
Many Hy-Vee locations across Iowa began offering COVID-19 rapid antibody testing this week.
The test can detect if a patient has had the virus in recent months and patients will receive same-day test results in as few as 15 minutes after completing the test.
Hy-Vee says this has been a popular option so far.
“People are getting this test because they want to know if they have the antibodies because they are considering donating convalescent plasma, especially for people who know they’ve had it in the past and want to see if those antibodies are present,” said Christina Gayman of Hy-Vee.
