In this Fareway Cooking Segment, learn about various ways to eat peaches
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – In this Fareway Cooking Segment, Caitlyn Ferin offers a variety of ways to eat peaches.
One of my favorite stone fruits is peaches, which are in season right now.
Comparing yellow and white flesh, the yellow has a tiny bit more acid, making it slightly tangier, while the white is sweeter.
The pit of the peach—whether it is a free stone or clinging to something—is the other distinction. As the name suggests, free stone pits are relatively easy to remove, whereas cling clings to the skin.
If you enjoy peach flavor but find the fuzzy skin bothersome. The skin is smooth, but the taste and nutrition are similar.
Grilling peaches is one of my favorite food related activities. These natural sugars are caramelized by the grill’s heat, enhancing their sweetness. It is the ideal container for a dollop of ice cream or yogurt.
These might also be made into lovely parfaits.
