One person killed in Waterloo house fire
Waterloo, Iowa – A home fire in Waterloo has resulted in the death of one person, according to authorities.
The fire broke out at a duplex between the Cedar River and Rooff Park on Wednesday afternoon.
When firefighters were sent to the location, they saw smoke coming from the windows of the two-story building.
Officials have confirmed that one adult was killed in the incident, but they have not revealed the victim’s identity.
The city of Waterloo’s fire marshal is conducting an investigation to discover what caused the incident.
