Two dead after car crash in Des Moines
Des Moines, Iowa – A car crash on Sunday afternoon was fatal for two people.
In the 4300 block of NW Morningstar Drive, a Polk County Sheriff deputy stopped a car for speeding, and as the deputy approached the vehicle, the driver took off.
The same vehicle was involved in the car crash that occurred at 12th Street and Oak Park Avenue.
The vehicles were caught by fire which prevented immediate rescue efforts.
After the arrival of the firefighters at the scene, the fire was quickly extinguished but it was too late for the drivers as they were already dead.
