UNI’s Warren receives two-year extention
CEDAR FALLS – UNI basketball coach Tanya Warren agreed to a two-year contract extention on Monday. Warren’s new deal runs through the 2026-27 season.
The new deal comes on the heels of a season that saw the Panthers go on their longest postseason run, which finished in the semifinal round of the NIT.
Warren’s teams have finishing .500 or above in Missouri Valley Conference play in thirteen straight seasons.
“I am extremely honored that our administration continues to entrust me to lead this program,” Warren said. “I am blessed to be surrounded by amazing people and I couldn’t be more excited as together we continue to strive for excellence both on and off the court.”
Warren is the winningest coach in program history with 260 career wins. She was the Valley coach of the year in 2010-11, 2013-14 and 2015-16.
