22 Black-owned businesses participated in a Cedar Rapids pop-up shop
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – The Knights of Columbus in Cedar Rapids put on a pop-up shop. Twenty-two businesses from the area participated in the event.
There were a large number of products to sell during the event, including beauty care products, jewelry, and food, among other things. In addition to selling products, the event included a dance by two majorettes from Cedar Rapids Washington High School.
The community’s response to the Black History Month event was very positive, and organizers want to make it a more regular occurrence in the future. The next event is planned for early April.
