Iowa reports over 666,000 people fully vaccinated against COVID-19
Iowa health officials are reporting 1,596,943 total COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered to state residents.
As of Tuesday morning, the COVID-19 vaccine dashboard is showing 666,285 people have been fully vaccinated against the virus.
State data shows 621,160 of those completed vaccine series were from the second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. While 45,125 people have completed their single-dose vaccination with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

The state’s dashboard shows there were 659 new, confirmed cases from 10 a.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Tuesday, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 353,901.
The state’s website says of the people who have tested positive, 335,656 have recovered. This is 820 more recoveries than what the state reported yesterday.
No additional virus-related deaths have been reported in Iowa, keeping its death toll to 5,822.
Subtracting the number of recoveries (335,656) and the number of deaths (5,822) from the total number of cases (353,901) shows there are currently 12,423 active positive cases in the state.
There are currently 217 virus-related hospitalizations in Iowa, which is up from the 200 reported yesterday. Of those hospitalizations, 52 are in the ICU and 28 are on ventilators.
In Iowa, there were 2,514 new test results reported in the last 24 hours, and a total of 1,651,697 people have been tested for COVID-19.
