Police chase after stolen vehicle leads to arrest
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – A 15-year-old girl was arrested in Cedar Rapids after police claimed she led them on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle on early Thursday morning.
The pursuit started at 6th Street and 33rd Avenue Southwest and stopped in the 2100 block of C Street Southwest, according to police.
Felony eluding, 2nd degree burglary, failure to maintain control, speeding, reckless driving, and failure to dim lights are among the charges filed against the kid. Other charges are still being considered.
The car, a 2009 Chrysler 300 LX, was reported stolen from a residence on the city’s northeast side on Wednesday, according to police.
A 16-year-old boy passenger was also arrested on nine warrants.
