Iowa City will unveil new electric buses on April 22
Iowa City, Iowa – Iowa City Transit will hold a celebration for its four new electric buses.
Riverfront Crossings Park will host an Electric Bus Bash from 2 to 4 p.m. on Earth Day, April 22, and the event is free to attend.
In addition to electric-powered city bus tours, the event will include free light refreshments and informative EV information, as well as giveaways and other activities.

The electric buses, which were made possible by funds from the federal and state governments, as well as through cooperation with MidAmerican Energy Company, will contribute to reaching the goal of Iowa City’s Climate Action and Adaption Plan of lowering emissions.
