A man from Cedar Rapids runs a marathon in every state in the US

Cedar Rapids, Iowa – In Maui, Hawaii, Todd Montgomery of Cedar Rapids completed his final of 55 marathons, formally fulfilling his 15-year goal of running a marathon in every state.
Montgomery remarked, “I noticed on the internet that some people were participating in the 50 States Challenge.” “I found it intriguing.”
For Montgomery, the 50 State Marathon Challenge serves as a link between his two passions: running and traveling the world.
Montgomery remarked, “You can run and travel at the same time; it’s a great marriage of two different things.”
He will be among the 50 State Marathon Club’s newest members. Just over 5,400 people are members at the moment.
Given that he didn’t even begin jogging until he was 38, his achievement was all the more remarkable.
Montgomery stated, “I needed to get an outlet or something like that in order to accomplish something constructive.”
Before his first marathon in Wisconsin, he spent months training. He urges others to take up the challenge as well.
“Anyone can do it,” Montgomery remarked. “Just enjoy yourself and take things one day at a time.”
