Iowa reports over 880,000 people fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Iowa health officials are reporting 11,989 more people have completed their vaccine series, meaning 882,783 individuals are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

As of Monday morning, the state’s COVID-19 vaccine dashboard shows 1,984,079 total vaccine doses have been administered to Iowa residents.

Between 10 a.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday, there were 168 new, confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state. So far, Iowa has reported 360,134 people have tested positive for the virus

Of those who have tested positive, 340,943 have recovered, an increase of 264 since yesterday.

Iowa’s COVID-19 dashboard shows zero additional virus-related deaths have been reported, keeping the state’s death toll to 5,881.

Subtracting the number of recoveries (340,943) and the number of deaths (5,881) from the total number of cases (360,134) shows there are currently 13,310 active positive cases in the state.

The latest report from the Iowa Department of Public Health says there are 205 hospitalizations due to the virus, which is up from 204 reported Sunday. Of those hospitalizations, 51 are in the ICU and 19 are on ventilators.

In Iowa, there were 1,112 test results reported in the last 24 hours, and a total of 1,682,961 people have been tested for COVID-19.
