Carlin to announce candidacy for U.S. Senate
Republican Iowa State Sen. Jim Carlin will announce his candidacy for U.S. Senate on Monday.
The Sioux City resident confirmed his decision this weekend.
He will speak at 8:00 A.M., at the American Legion hall in Sgt. Bluff, Iowa.
He will go for the seat currently occupied by U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley.
Grassley is in his seventh term in the Senate after first elected in 1980.
