Cedar Rapids’ Bo Mac’s restaurant is set to reopen
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – On Friday, the proprietor of Bo Mac’s, a restaurant located in the NewBo neighborhood of Cedar Rapids, made the announcement that he intends to reopen the establishment.
Despite the fact that it had closed down in August, the owner stated that he still owned the building. There was no explanation provided for the closure of the business.
In spite of this, the proprietor stated on Friday during a news conference that the present shutdown will only be temporary and that he intends to revive the business.
In the course of the news conference, city officials and proprietors of local companies discussed the challenges that local businesses encountered as a result of the construction of roads and the work that was being done on the flood protection systems of the city.
The announcement of the city’s intention to reopen Bo Mac’s coincides with the launch of a new initiative designed to assist local companies in the midst of the construction.
The development has made it difficult for a number of businesses in the NewBo neighborhood, including Bo Mac’s, which is only one of them.
As a result of the construction barrier that was installed, Ideal Theater and Bar reported on Facebook that their sales have decreased by eighty percent.
