Cedar Rapids residents unable to reach businesses within city limits due to road construction
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – The construction of roads in Cedar Rapids is making it more difficult for residents to access certain places within the city limits.
One of the places that is nearly impossible for residents to reach is Nelson’s Meat Market, where construction has blocked up a portion of Oakland Road NE as well as Old Marion Road NE in the vicinity. At the moment, the only way to reach Nelson’s parking lot is to travel a narrow gravel road that begins at a nearby petrol station.
Because of this, people are confused about how to get to Nelson’s or even whether it is open. According to Jonathan Moore, owner of Nelson’s, it is difficult to keep clients up to date and aware of the situation due to the work that is now taking place.
Visit the city’s website for more details on the road closure.
