CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Cedar Rapids police collected 57.6 pounds of medication for their Drug Take Back Day Saturday, April 24.
CRPD told Iowa’s News Now they were seeing a phenomenal turnout on Saturday but released the final tally on Sunday morning.
They have collected 358.4 pounds since their previous Drug Take Back event last October. That means the department will turn 416 pounds of medication over to the DEA to be destroyed.
