Family displaced following mobile home fire
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – According to authorities, a fire on Saturday night caused extensive damage to a manufactured residence.
The Cedar Rapids Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a fire at 159 Summer Circle NE at 11:24 p.m. Firefighters arrived to discover a large fire, but all occupants and pets were safely outside.
The fire, which threatened adjacent homes, was put out by firefighters. According to fire department authorities, the residence that was originally engaged in the fire was damaged.
The home’s smoke alarms were functional, and no one was hurt as a result of the incident. The fire forced the residents of the house to escape.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated by firefighters.
