Iowa reports 165 new positive COVID-19 tests, no additional deaths
DES MOINES, Iowa —
The Iowa Department of Public Health reported 165 new positive COVID-19 tests and no additional deaths Monday.
At 10 a.m., the health department reported 385,904 total positive tests, 337,968 total recoveries and 5,857 total deaths since the start of the pandemic. The health department reported 385,739 total positive tests and 5,857 total deaths 24 hours earlier.
Iowa’s test positivity rates remain below 5%. Both the 7-day and 14-day average stand at 4.9%. There have been 4,586,453 COVID-19 tests administered in the state.
The number of Iowans hospitalized with the virus increased from 212 to 220 in the last 24 hours. There are 55 patients in ICU and 21 patients on ventilators.
Iowa reports three long-term care facilities with outbreaks. The state reports 28 positive cases among residents and staff within those facilities. There have been 2,295 COVID-19 deaths in Iowa’s long-term care facilities.
