Iowa youth basketball league reached a settlement in a sexual exploitation lawsuit

Des Moines, Iowa – A youth basketball league in Iowa has reached a settlement in a class-action lawsuit brought by former players alleging that their coach had secretly recorded them undressing or got nude images of them.
Having been convicted of child sexual exploitation, Gregory Stephen is now serving a long jail term.
The attorney representing the boys who played in Barnstormers Basketball of Iowa games between the years 2005 and 2018, Guy Cook, said that the league has agreed to resolve the matter by establishing a fund with more than one million dollars to compensate the victims.
A judge must sign off on the agreement before it’s finalized.
