Man charged with child endangerment and OWI following a pursuit in Cedar Rapids
Cedar Rapids, Iowa- A 27-year-old man from Cedar Rapids is charged with child endangerment, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and operating while intoxicated.
According to the Linn County Sheriff’s Department, Benjamin Moore was driving recklessly and refused to stop when a deputy tried to pull him over. The deputy began a pursuit but ended it shortly after he noticed a child in the car.
Moore lost control over his car and went off the road in a field. Luckily, both of them were not injured.
Moore was arrested and taken into custody and the boy has been returned to his mother.
