Pedestrian seriously injured after Cedar Rapids accident
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – On Friday night, a 49–year-old pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a car.
The accident occurred around 10 p.m. at 6905 Mt. Vernon Road.
Richard Lighthall was hit by an Audi driving westbound.
Both men in the Audi were not injured.
Lighthall was transported to the University of Iowa hospital by EMS. According to officials, his injuries are life-threatening.
Linn County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
