Man fatally stabbed at Cedar Rapids apartment
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – On Wednesday afternoon, officers from the Cedar Rapids Police Department located a man who was suffering from a stab wound to the upper torso at an apartment located in the 1500 block of 5th Avenue SE.
When officers arrived, they found the man unresponsive and suffering from an apparent stab wound to his chest and rendered aid. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the information provided by the police, officers took two people who were at the crime scene when the incident happened to the police station for questioning.
The victim’s identity was not disclosed.
The investigation is underway, but police said they believe this was a targeted incident.
