Man from Iowa City brought into custody following gunfire
Iowa City, Iowa – After gunfire in Iowa City, one person has been placed under arrest.
A domestic quarrel involving a weapon prompted Iowa City Police to come to the 2000 block of Wayne Avenue just before six o’clock on Saturday.
The victim informed law enforcement. Dayvon Long, a 21-year-old from Iowa City, shot her and fled on foot.
According to an inquiry, Long had departed and gone back to his house. Once the building was evacuated, he was taken into custody by the police.
Long is accused of the following:
• Intimidation with Firearm
• Going Armed with Intent
• Four counts of Child Endangerment
• Domestic Abuse Assault of Pregnant Person and Display/Use of a Weapon
• Dominion/Control of a Firearm/Offensive Weapon by a Felon
• Carrying Weapons
• Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon
• Assault with Intent to Inflict Serious Injury
• Reckless Use of a Firearm
