Mar. 15: More than 400,000 Iowans have been fully vaccinated
IOWA — There were 150 new, confirmed cases from 10 a.m. Sunday to 10 a.m. Monday, according to the state’s dashboard, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 342,933.
The state’s website says that of the 342,933 people who have tested positive, 324,617 have recovered. This is 187 more recoveries than what the state reported Sunday.
The state’s death toll is 5,641, which 8 more than what was reported yesterday.
Subtracting the number of recoveries (324,617) and the number of deaths (5,641) from the total number of cases (342,933) shows there are currently 12,675 active positive cases in the state.
As of Monday morning, there were 26 patients hospitalized in Iowa within the last 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations is 161, an increase from 160 hospitalized the day before. Of those, 42 are in the ICU (up from 40), and 21 are on ventilators (up from 18).
In Iowa, there were 1,222 people tested in the last 24 hours, and a total of 1,597,535 people have been tested for COVID-19.
According to the state’s COVID-19 vaccine dashboard, 1,105,700 total doses have been administered in Iowa and 408,914 individuals have completed the series, which is 14,349 more than Sunday. You can view the dashboard for more data.
BLACK HAWK COUNTY
As of 10 a.m. Monday, the Black Hawk COVID-19 dashboard is showing 17 new cases since 10 a.m. Sunday, leaving a total of 16,145 cases. There have been 6 additional recoveries, leaving a total of 14,420. There has been one additional death, leaving a total of 296 deaths. In Black Hawk County, 18,022 residents have been fully vaccinated.
LINN COUNTY
As of 10 a.m. Monday, the Linn County COVID-19 dashboard is showing 7 new cases since 10 a.m. Sunday, leaving a total of 19,625 cases. There have been 18 additional recoveries, leaving a total of 18,265 recoveries. There have been 0 additional deaths, leaving a total of 331 deaths in the county. There are 14 patients currently hospitalized in the county. In Linn County, 31,470 residents have been fully vaccinated.
JOHNSON COUNTY
According to the state’s dashboard at 10 a.m. Monday, there are 4 new positive cases reported in Johnson County since 10 a.m. Sunday. This brings the total to 13,245 reported cases. There have been a total of 12,745 recoveries, 16 more reported than yesterday. There were no additional deaths, leaving a total of 76. In Johnson County, 25,932 residents have been fully vaccinated.
DUBUQUE COUNTY
According to the state’s dashboard at 10 a.m. Monday, there were 3 additional positive cases reported in Dubuque County since 10 a.m. Sunday. This brings the total to 12,508 reported cases. There have been 3 additional recoveries reported, leaving a total of 11,944. There have been no additional deaths reported, leaving a total of 199. In Dubuque County, 14,517 residents have been fully vaccinated.
