May 14: COVID-19 hospitalizations at lowest point since July 2020
DES MOINES, Iowa — According to the Iowa Department of Public Health, there are 253 new cases of COVID-19 in the state of Iowa measured by Iowa’s News Now from 10:00 a.m. on May 13 to 11:00 a.m. on May 14.
There are now 369,026 people who have tested positive for the virus since the pandemic started in Iowa.
Four additional deaths were reported due to COVID-19 over the last 24 hours. Right now, the state reports 5,998 overall deaths.
11,960 more people are now fully vaccinated in Iowa, with 1,228,237 people through the vaccination series in the state. So far, 2,553,301 total doses have been administered in the state of Iowa.
151 people are hospitalized in Iowa with COVID-19 which is 11 less than at 10:00 a.m. on May 13.
41 patients are in the ICU, which is one less than the number reported on May 13.
