NASA awards a $225,000 grant to Coe College
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – A significant renovation is on the way for one Coe College department.
A $225,000 NASA funding will be used to fund a “high-performing cluster” for the physics department at the institution.
Professor Firdevs Duiu stated, “This will help us to enhance our current research and it will also help us to create some educational material for our students.”
Students will be able to study more about the various space atmospheres thanks to this computer system.
It is difficult to fully comprehend, for instance, how glass employed as a radiation field on a spacecraft will respond to the dynamic Martian ionosphere and atmospheric environment. Daniel Hughes, a student, stated, “Just having that complete global dynamic simulation is really beneficial.”
The college’s faculty and students express their excitement at being allowed to begin working on the cluster.
